A ‘sickening’ video shows man beating up groom in Sydney

The video has been viewed over six million times and has been shared thousands of times.

It shows a man punching the groom in the head, causing blood to pool on the floor of the car park.

The groom is then punched in the stomach and then kicked repeatedly by the man in the video.

One of the groom’s relatives was in the car at the time of the attack.

A statement from the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said it was investigating the incident.

“The incident involved a man who has been charged with grievous bodily harm and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, which is a summary offence,” the statement read.

“This is a serious matter, and the Crown intends to prosecute.”

A NSW Police spokeswoman said the man charged had been released on bail.

A spokesperson for the CPS said there were a number of other charges being considered.

“It’s a very serious matter,” the spokeswoman said.

“We are going to have to make some recommendations in relation to the man’s bail conditions.”

A video of the assault has been posted on social media.

The NSW Premier said the incident was “heartbreaking”.

“It is sickening and it is disgusting that someone would use their power and power of intimidation and aggression to attack a young man,” Premier Mike Baird said.
